Pankaj Dave is a Director and Head of Electrical Engineering at Urban Systems Design with over 30 years of experience in electrical engineering design from building to masterplan projects with particular skills on large scale complex projects and data centres. He has worked internationally in the UK, UAE, EU and Africa.  He was formally a Director with UK consulting engineer Chapman BDSP where he was a leading member of the technical advisory group.  He has broad experience working internationally in the UK, Europe and Africa.

Pankaj is an electrical engineer by background and has a detailed understanding of electrical systems in buildings and of city utility systems. 

Having worked as both Contractor and Consultant, Pankaj has developed experience in engineering project management, cost and procurement management. He is very experienced negotiating with utility companies and in high, medium and low voltage systems as well as the array of extra low voltage systems in modern buildings – IT, fire alarms, BMS, lighting control. 

Pankaj is involved in the inception of all schemes to help ensure the bold environmental ideas are followed through in the building’s electrical systems.  His role then extends through detailed design and delivery to ensure a high-quality product both in design and construction.

As well as taking a leading role on projects, Pankaj is responsible for our IT systems and, jointly with Klaus, for the practice’s finances.
